Fire Resistant Mortar
Fire Resistant Mortar is a fire stopping system which is ideal for sealing around large openings through which cables, pipes and conduits penetrate in electric power plants, electric substations, industrial buildings, high-rises and ships to prevent the spread of fire, smoke and hot gases.
The characteristics of Fire Resistant Mortar are: fast curing, highly adhesive, no adverse odor, excellent fire resistance, good adhesion to metal, rubber, plastic, timber and cement. It can be used in conjunction with fire stopping series Intumescent Putty and Intumescent Pillow.
Fire Resistant Mortar has been independently tested in accordance with GA161-1997 Performance Requirements and Test Methods for Fire Stops and can provide up to 3 hours fire resistance.

1. Estimate the consumption of fire resistant mortar in accordance with size of openings. 1kg of fireresistant mortar is estimated for 650cm3 of openings.
2. Separate the cable shaft with cable trays. Dust and oil grease on the surfaces of cables shall be cleaned off.
3. The powder should be added to water in the ration0.45-0.50kg water 1kg fire cement. Slowly add required powder while stirring until reach uniform mortar state. use immediately within 30 minutes.
4. Pour the fire resistant mortar into openings of cable trays. For large openings, reinforcing steel can be used to improve its strength.
It is available in 50kg bags. It can be stored in a cool dry place for half a year. Avoid rainfall when stored and transpored. Transport it as an ordinary safe solid material.
